The students have their Math Mate test on Monday. Remind them to study their previous Math Mates and their Math Mate Packet.

Thursday

Both grade levels have their math mate and math mate packet due tomorrow.

Wednesday

Math's Mate and Math's Mate Packet are due on Friday. 7B needs to complete the substitution worksheet (page 14) if they did not finish it in class.

Math's Mate Test is Monday.

School Dance

The school dance is Thursday. We are asking for volunteers to work from 4 until 6 and to help clean up afterward. We are also asking for donations of individually wrapped snacks and soft drinks. All proceeds from the dance will go to the 8th grade Washington DC Trip.

Monday

The students received their new math mate today that is due this Friday.

7th grade: We are still working on combining like terms. 7A has homework tonight.

8th grade: We are working on square roots. They do not have homework tonight.

7th grade:
7th grade went over combining like terms. There homework tonight is to complete the worksheet.

8th grade:
8th grade needs to complete their square root worksheet for homework.

Math's Mate will be collected on Monday due to the fact that I will be absent tomorrow.

7th grade: We started learning about combining like terms in equations. They have no homework tonight.

8th grade: We started working on square roots. They have a worksheet to complete tonight for homework.

7th grade: They need to complete the distributive property equations worksheet and study for tomorrow's quiz. It is over one and two step equations and the distributive property.

8th grade: We applied scientific notation when computing some spacial distances. They have no homework tonight.

7th grade may have homework tonight if they did not complete their work in the classroom. It is over two-step equations.

7th grade: The students received an extra credit assignment that is due on Friday. It is optional if the students would like bonus points. They also have homework tonight over one-step equations.

8th grade: Tonight's homework is completing a dividing exponents worksheet. They have their final retake of the perfect squares quiz tomorrow. Wednesday is a quiz over exponents. The students that need extra help should be at tutorial tomorrow morning at 8:00.

Both grade levels have math mate due on Friday.

7th grade: no homework

8th grade: Problems 4-13 on rules of multiplying with exponents worksheet. They also have another perfect square retest on Tuesday.

Thursday

I did not see the 8th grade today.

7th grade reviewed their data test. Tomorrow we will begin our work on equations.

I am sorry that I didn't get a chance to post on the blog yesterday. It was a hectic day.

8th graders are still working on operations with exponents. Their homework tonight is to complete an assignment from class about raising exponents.

7th graders are taking their final data test today. We will start equations tomorrow.

The students took their Math Mate Quiz today over basic skills. The 8th grade students had their Perfect Square Quiz Retake. These tests will be returned on Tuesday. Neither grade level has homework.

7th grade: Their Math's Mate is due tomorrow and they have a Math Mate quiz tomorrow as well.

8th grade: Math's Mate is due tomorrow. They have a quiz over Math Mate skills tomorrow. They also have a retest over the perfect squares tomorrow if they need to retest.

Wednesday

Both grade levels have their Math's Mate due on Friday. The students also have a remediation packet of Math's Mate materials due on Friday that covers their individual weaknesses. They will take a quiz Friday over their Math Mate skills.

8th grade also has additional homework: Negative Exponent Worksheet.
