7th grade worked on cross-sections today. We started by cross-secting candy bars to see the different perspectives. We will continue to work on cross-section of three-dimensional shapes until we take a quiz on Friday. Their 3-D project is due on April 14.

8th grade continues to work on systems of equations. They have homework tonight reviewing this skill.

7th grade finished our whale project today. We graphed a life-size humpback whale on a grid outside. We will review similar triangles on Monday and start a new unit on Tuesday over three-dimensional shapes. I am still in need of a few more fun size candy bars if you can donate some for an activity next Friday.

8th grade will wrap up graphing inequalities on Monday and start on systems of equations on Tuesday.

8th grade students used the computers today to review graphing equations and slope. The interactive games allowed them to practice their skills, but have fun at the same time.

7th grade is starting a 2-week interdisciplinary project about whales. It is a unique experience that allows students connect many different subject areas.

8th grade is spending the week reviewing slope and how to graph equations. They are taking the ITBS in the morning, so we will try to relax with some fun slope activities in math.

7th grade: We started working on scale factor and dilations in context of similar triangles. 7A has one problem to complete for homework because we ran out of time. Test on Friday.

8th grade: 8th grade has a quiz on Wednesday over graphing equations, finding slope and y-intercept, and converting fractions into slope intercept form. We will continue to review this material today and tomorrow. 8A has 6 problems to complete for homework.
